NHS Ayrshire and Arran provide a wide range of health and social care services, including Acute Hospital care & community nursing and social care services. We are the main provider of Health and Social care to approximately 371 000 people in the Ayrshire and Arran area.
We are seeking to recruit a number of motivated & dynamic Hospital @ Home Clinical Support Workers to join our newly established Hospital @ Home Service. This service will deliver hospital level care to the patient in their home setting or place of care, whilst under the care of a MDT including a named Hospital Consultant.
You will deliver high quality care in accordance with guidance given by practitioners/registered staff & should have an SVQ II in healthcare as a minimum/academic equivalent in higher or have the relevant experience to enable them to use specialist technical & practical skills to deliver flexible, person centred care under indirect supervision of the registered staff, this may include cannulation & venepuncture, ECG recording, and patient observations.
You must be driven to provide a person-centred care experience for individuals & have a thorough knowledge of frailty. You should have the knowledge & skills required as part of the MDT in managing the acutely unwell adult. You will work across professional boundaries & with both health & social care services to achieve the best outcome for patients.
Full driving licence is required.
Hours: 37.50 per week and 34.50 hours per week available.
This is a fixed term / secondment opportunity for 12 months.
